Village Manager Takes on Additional Job in NJ

Mamaroneck Observer
It’s no secret that Village Manager Jerry Barberio has a demanding job. His most recent contract from January 2020 lists all of his responsibilities (and there are many) as Manager and Chief Executive Officer of the Village. See the contract details here.

According to the contract (which is a public record) Mr. Barberio’s base salary as of January 28, 2023 is $226,150. In addition, he receives:

1) Additional annual compensation of $8,500 for serving as the Executive Director of the Larchmont-Mamaroneck Cable TV Board of Control

2) Use of a vehicle for Village business and local travel up to 60 miles from his home with expenses paid

3) Payments to an employment security fund that is released to the Manager when certain conditions are met at the termination of his employment

4) Health insurance, vacation, sick and personal leave and retirement plan contributions

So, you might wonder why he recently took a temporary/part-time job as an administrator of Englewood Cliffs as shown on his LinkedIn page. There is also a Facebook post by Councilman David Di Gregorio on “Cliff Dems” announcing the appointment.

The Mamaroneck Observer called and left a message for Village Manager Barberio in order to have a comment from him, but he had not returned the call by the time of release of this issue.
