Salvatore DeRose, of Mamaroneck, passed away March 2, 2025, days before his 89th birthday. He was born in Carolei, Italy.  Sal was the son of Ubaldo & Carmela DeRose.  In 1964, he opened Sal’s Pizza, an institution in Mamaroneck.  Sal worked tirelessly in his business.  He was the epitome of kindness and generosity and helped countless people in the community over the years. He enjoyed playing bocce ball and cards, loved to bowl, but above all, he cherished being with his family.  Sal is the beloved husband of Teresa DeRose, the cherished father of Stephen DeRose, Michael DeRose (Bruna) and the late Salvatore DeRose Jr (Maria), the loving grandfather of, Alexandra, Nicole, Cristina, Salvatore III, Stephen, Anthony and Valentino, and dear brother of, Roberto DeRose (Maria), Franco DeRose (Annette) and Maria Broccoli (Francesco).  He was predeceased by his brother, Louis (Gina) DeRose.Â
Lynn Horton of Mamaroneck, NY, peacefully passed away on March 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.  Born on May 3, 1937, to Charles and Marie Tepe, Lynn attended Scarsdale schools and was a proud graduate of Endicott College.  While working as a schoolteacher, she met her beloved husband, Albert.  Together they shared a life while raising three children.
Lynn cherished time spent with family and friends, and nearly everyone who knew her shares warm memories by her pool. Â She loved relaxing with a book in the sun among her flowers and trees. Â She also enjoyed traveling to the islands and found great joy in the company of her pets, Annie and Snickers.
Lynn was a devoted mother, grandmother, and newly proud great-grandmother. Â She is survived by her three children Diane (Jimmy), Brian, Donna (Tommy), her grandchildren Kimberly, James (Christina), Tracey, Taya, and great-granddaughter Alexia. Â She is predeceased by her parents, brother Charles, and husband Albert.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the many wonderful caregivers they have met over the years, particularly the compassionate staff at Calvary Hospital.
Dr. James J. Doyle, a longtime and renowned physician in Mamaroneck, passed away on March 1, 2025, surrounded by his family. Â He was 95 years old. James was born on August 4, 1929, to James & Agnes Doyle. Â He proudly served his country in the Air Force following the Korean Conflict. Â James was a graduate of Fordham University and later, NY Medical College. Â His private practice in Mamaroneck existed for his entire career and treated countless families over five decades with a good old-fashioned bedside manner.
 James is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Arline Doyle, his cherished children, Dr. James Doyle (Elizabeth), Kathleen Concilio (Nicholas), Susan Doyle-Lindrud (Mark), Stephen Doyle (Mary), and Kevin Doyle, 13 loving grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
