Maria M. Rigano, a Mamaroneck resident since 1959, passed away on September 21st, with her sons and daughter at home, at age 93. Born in 1930 to the late Riziero and Louise DeVivo. Married Charles A. Rigano, Sr. in 1950. Charles Sr. passed in 1999. Survived by 3 children, Charles, Jr. (MarySue), Diane and Robert, plus 2 grandchildren Katelynn and Ryder. Survived by 3 siblings, Anne, Pasquale, and Robert. She is predeceased by her sister Florence. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she worked at Hommocks Middle School and was a lifetime volunteer at St. Vito’s Church. She loved to play cards and bowl with her husband.
Mary Farina, of Mamaroneck, passed away September 15, 2024. She was 90 years old. Mary was born on New Year’s Day 1934 in Bari, Italy to Frank & Emanuela LaSorsa. In earlier years she had worked as a secretary for Noesting Pin Ticket. Mary loved to be surrounded by family, and she was very devout in her faith. She is the beloved wife of the late John Farina. Together, they shared 71 beautiful years of marriage. Mary leaves behind her cherished children, Frank Farina (Janice) and Angela LaSorsa (Joseph), loving grandchildren Gina (Jason), JoAnn (Brian), Steven & John and Christopher and great grandchildren Gabriel, Brian, Joseph, Angie & Mary.
Anne Rose Balzo, a longtime Mamaroneck resident, passed away Friday September 13. She was 101. Born in Harlem, December 22, 1922, to Salvatore and Anna Coppola; Anne did many things in life. She worked for many years as an administrator in a doctor’s office, hospital, and rectory. She was a lifetime volunteer, her work included Sarah Neuman Nursing Home and Chocolations in Mamaroneck. She liked to keep active, working well into her 90s; and would always be seen walking through the village. She was well loved by all and recently received a proclamation by the Village of Mamaroneck on her 101st birthday. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Domenick dear son, Joseph. Anne is survived by her loving children Anthony (Sandra), Patricia Hachey (Dave), daughter-in-law Debbie; her cherished grandchildren Lindsay (Eric), Carly (Kyle), Nick (Bridgette), Julianne (Matt), Jake (Megan) and great grandchildren Annabelle, Domenick, and Lyla.
Robert G. “HONDA BOB” Siepermann of Mamaroneck, passed away on September 11, 2024 at the age of 85. He was born in the Bronx, where he began his automotive career working for University Chevrolet. He pivoted to motorcycles, where he started the House of Honda, first in Port Chester and subsequently in Mamaroneck, where he continued for what turned out to be 52 years. He finally retired in 2017 and spent the rest of his life at his Mamaroneck home, creating beautiful gardens. Bob leaves his wife and loving companion of 50 years, Ginger Hiles, two daughters Jeannie Carrington and her husband Wayne and Robin Hiles-Briganti and her husband Frank Briganti and was pre-deceased by a son, Kurt Hiles. He also leaves generations of appreciative customers, employees and friends.
Mary Jacqueline Marciante (nee Moen) of Mamaroneck passed away on September 11, 2024. She was 83. Born in Port Chester on March 23, 1941 to Edwin and Ann Moen (nee Harriet) Mary Jacqueline worked as a Registered Nurse for New York Presbyterian Hospital in White Plains until her retirement. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Louis Marciante in 1988. She is survived by her loving sons, Edwin Marciante, Paul Marciante and Stephen Marciante, cherished grandchildren, Christopher, Keith, Timothy, Melanie, Jess, Jillian and Sabrina and great-grandchildren, Ryan and James and dear sister Deborah Moen.
Vincenzina Falco, of Mamaroneck, passed away September 10, 2024, at age 78. She was born in Roccasecca, Italy on December 17, 1945 to Antonio & Pasqua Castiglia. Vincenzina was a loving homemaker who loved to cook for her family and care for her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening as well as spending time upstate. She is the devoted wife of Antonio Falco and the cherished mother of Andrea Falco (Leslie) and the late Pasqualino Falco. Vincenzina is the loving grandmother of Evan, Valencia, Letizia and Avianna and dear sister of Domenica Esposito and Anamaria Marcucilli.
