Frank J. Picone, of Mamaroneck, passed away November 2, 2023, at age 81. He is now reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife, Beth Picone, whom he missed dearly since she passed away in 2019. Frank was born December 18, 1941, to Frank & Ruth Picone. He proudly served in the Army from 1958-1960. For many years, Frank was a Distribution Manager for Specialty Brands Inc. in New Rochelle. He was a car and motorcycle enthusiast. Frank leaves behind his cherished children, Kristin Szymanowski and her husband, Christopher, and Frank Picone and his wife, Veronica, loving grandchildren, Tyler, Jake, Madison, Frankie, Angela, Miya and Alexa, and dear siblings Raymond Picone (Betty) and Ruthann Tidwell (Bob).
Kenneth G. Murphy of Mamaroneck unexpectedly passed away on October 22, 2023 at the age of 65. Born in New York City on May 25, 1958 to the late Edward and Eileen (nee Jobes). The beloved husband of Karen (nee Ryan), cherished father of Kenneth (wife Sarah Knott) and Kaitlyn, loving brother of William (Anne), Robert (Margaret), Edward (Arlene), the late Raymond (Linda), Sister-in-laws Adrienne (Nick) and Patsy. Adored by his many nieces and nephews, Annie, Eileen, Megan, Kira, Eddie Jr, Melissa, the late Raymond Jr, Sean, Amanda, Madison and Nicky.
Raised in the Castle Hill Projects of the Bronx, he lived with his brothers and made a multitude of lifelong friends. In November of 1980, he met Karen on Castle Hill Avenue; they have been together ever since. Married for 39 years, they raised 2 beautiful children, 7 dogs, 2 birds, and 2 cats. Kenny enjoyed late night snacking, yelling at the TV while watching the Yankees, long rides with his friends on his motorcycle, but his love of his family is what brought him the most joy.
Kenny and the Murphy Family were profoundly impacted by the loss of his brother, Ray, on September 11, 2001, which shaped the next 22 years of his life. Jeanne Ann Steinborn, born Jeanne Ann Boland on May 23, 1929, died October 21, 2023 at the Sarah Neuman Rehabilitation Home in Mamaroneck after a short illness. Jeanne was born on Manhattan’s upper west side to Sarah and John Boland. John was a furniture salesman for the Haywood Wakefield Company and Sarah was a housewife. Her only sister Maureen Manning passed away in 1988. They were a true NYC family spending nights together at Toots Shor’s and attending Yankee games.
Jeanne lived in Larchmont and Mamaroneck for almost 60 years. Jeanne attended Notre Dame High School and Graduated from Manhattanville College in 1950 with a degree in Economics and History. She worked locally for the Harrison School District, The American Can Company where she became the Assistant Secretary to the Corporation as well as The Coldwell Banker Real Estate office in Larchmont. She was also active with St. Augustine’s Church.
Jeanne married Theodore F. Rice in February 1957 and that marriage ended in divorce in 1971. She married Paul Steinborn in 1982 and she took up his love of sailing and they enjoyed many adventures with the Horseshoe Harbor family as well as and the Steinborn Family. Mr Steinborn passed away in 2008.
Survivors include her children Theodore Rice [Joanne], Jeanne Kaplan [David] and Patrick Rice from her first marriage and stepchildren Jean Vondersheer [Eric], Paul Steinborn Jr. [Regina], Joan McGrath Pellaton [Charles] and Edward Steinborn. She also leaves behind 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren as well as loving nieces and nephews.
