Barbara Lynne McNichols of Mamaroneck, NY passed away peacefully on August 21, 2023. She was 82. Born in the Bronx, NY on May 22, 1941, to Joseph and Emma Herzog (Karl).
Lynne was predeceased by her beloved husband Bruce Smith McNichols in 2012. Lynne and Bruce were longtime residents of Mamaroneck for over 40 years. Lynne graduated from SUNY Purchase College and then obtained her master’s degree from Manhattanville College. Lynne was a jazz singer for many years in her husband’s band the Smith Street Society Jazz band and worked for years as an English teacher and in the administrative offices of Greenville Elementary School in Scarsdale, New York until she retired in 2011. She is survived by her loving daughter Brett Lando and her husband James Lloyd, cherished grandchildren, Siena & Beckham Lando, dear sisters, Kristine Brackett and Karen Sue Black, her cousin Linda Sanchez and her many loving nieces and nephews, Emma Brackett, Christopher Black, Peter Black, Quan Tobey, Amanda Sanchez, Daniel Sanchez Megen Metzger, Clea Calloway, Lara Rose and Alex Rubin.
