It was a shock to learn of Dan Sarnoff's sudden passing, and perhaps I missed it, I was also disappointed to not see any information about how Village residents could memorialize and posthumously recognize his contributions to the village over the past 14 years. So, here's mine. When I learned of Dan's sudden passing, I walked through the Village and simply thought "I am walking in the steps of Dan Sarnoff." I had the pleasure of working with Dan during the two terms I served as a Trustee from 2012-2016. He was always dedicated, passionate and committed to his job as a servant of the Village. As assistant manager he led and drove a number of major projects, helped us get grants, and always engaged from the point of view of how he could help. We lost a wonderful, good person way too soon. My heart aches for the loss to his family, friends and the great Village of Mamaroneck. May he rest in peace. Thank you for the opportunity to recognize the immense contributions Dan made to our Village. And I hope others will follow suit. He will be missed.
